Space is limited and priority is given first to those who attend both days. You must reserve your spot in advance.
Our Covid protocols include open windows and doors (weather permitting), a UV air filter (kills bacteria and viruses), a thorough cleaning before each event, sanitizing and hand washing supplies. You are free to wear a mask if you want. Depending on status of things, we might all be wearing masks. We'll keep up with current trends and recommendations.
Everyone who has come so far has been extremely grateful for the opportunity to connect and to heal with our beautiful process of self exploration. And I would like to thank you all for your support of the studio through these challenging times. While painting via Zoom wasn't quite like the real thing, we were still able to keep that brush moving, as well as all the overwhelming energy of these times. Painting in person has been a huge relief for both painters and myself ... having that chance to be free in the creative process has been a touchstone, a retreat, a place to soothe and a place to express. I am so very grateful for this process and for all of you. I hope you can join me soon. Terry
ABOUT THE CLASSES
Everyone is welcome and painting experience, talent and skill is absolutely not required, only a desire to explore through the creative process.
All classes and workshops begin and end with discussion led by the facilitator. You speak only if you want to.
The studio is a safe space and judgment free zone. This means we respect each other's process by never commenting on the paintings or interfering with or judging another person's process. This is a sacred space. (Also, if a topic would be appropriate for TV news, please keep it out of the studio.)
You must pre-register to reserve your space. You can register online or by sending a check. (Cancellation Policy below.)
PRACTICAL STUFF
All supplies are provided, including art materials, aprons, etc.
There is plenty of on street parking.
There is a coffee shop and a couple restaurants in walking distance.
The CTA Blue Line is walking distance. The studio is about 1 mile from either the Austin or Harlem exits on the 290.
I offer classes in my home studio and there are stairs involved.
I have two Tibetan Terriers, and they are non-shed and low dander dogs. Sometimes they come into the studio during painting, but are shy and usually avoid new people.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please provide as much notice as you can, but at least 48 hours notice of cancellation and you will get a full refund. Less than 24 hours gets no refund. However, if you fall in the <48 hour category please contact us ASAP, we respect that everyone has emergencies and refunds/credits can be issued at the discretion of the facilitator, depending on the circumstances.
